Oh What Fun It Is To Bake…
It’s our favorite time of the year again!
This will be our third Christmas season with our home bakery business and honestly it has been my favorite so far. We hit everything from treat boxes to cocoa bombs to our new offering of cookie boxes! The best part was getting to share all of our new items with family and friends at parties.
This cookie variety box was probably the most fun we have had for our creativity. Of course we had to include some seasonal macarons in red and green as well as ornament macarons! We also included some of our classics like our brown butter dark chocolate cookies and our orange gingerbread stamped with gingerbread house designs (so cute!). We also added in some new cookies including orange shortbread dipped in dark chocolate, hot cocoa cookies, raspberry “Grinch Heart” thumbprints, and peanut butter blossoms. Lastly, we painstakingly made delicious homemade soft caramels and individually wrapped them. These caramels were a labor of love, but boy were they worth it.
Christmas season is also turning into a popular wedding season for us and we are here for all of these beautiful winter weddings. This bride wanted something simple and elegant to add to her dessert table for her guests and the cakesicles did not disappoint. Something about a clean coat of white chocolate just lends a certain level of classy to a dessert.
These particular cakesicles featured vanilla and chocolate cake with two different accent colors to clarify flavors. A lovely dark green and red to correspond with the wedding colors.
Of course, treat boxes and gift boxes are some of our most popular holiday menu items and a good way to get a little bit of everything from our menu. Some of our favorite combos of the season included our cakesicles, hot cocoa bombs, cookies, and macarons. We love to work with any price range for these boxes and it is always fun to see what our customers want as a package.
Another hot item in the cold months is our gift boxes of hot cocoa bombs because what better way to warm up than with chocolate? We’re constantly making these drink additions during the holidays and can customize them to meet any need including holiday themed, chocolate options, or marshmallow selections. A fun new option we have this year is our homemade marshmallows in our cocoa bombs. They’re the perfect addition and melt like a dream into your cocoa!
