Elegant Baptism Desserts
A sweet set for an even sweeter occasion.
A momentous occasion like a baptism deserves to be celebrated with a touch of sweetness and what better way to do that than with a stunning dessert set that will leave guests in awe? Recently, we had the pleasure of creating a beautiful dessert spread for a little girl utilizing some new techniques and plenty of gold accents. The simplicity of the entire set is what really brought it all together.
The stunning centerpiece of this set was an adorable cake adorned with pink buttercream flowers using a palette knife technique. This was a new one for us and we are so glad this customer trusted us with trying it out. To add a touch of opulence, delicate gold luster dust accents were sprinkled on the flowers, giving them an extra pop for decoration. Finally, we topped this with a small gold chocolate cross and we handwrote “Poppy” in edible gold paint to really pull together the elegance. For the insides of this particular dessert, this client loves our vanilla and strawberry jam combo. The cake was our classic vanilla with our homemade strawberry jam and buttercream between the layers giving the perfect fruity sweet vibe to match this sweet girl!
Complementing the cake were the perfect pink and white cakesicle accompaniments. These delectable treats were adorned with chocolate crosses, paying homage to the spiritual significance of the baptism ceremony. To elevate the cakesicles, they were embellished with delicate touches of gold leaf, adding a heavenly shimmer that caught the light and captivated onlookers. Flavors for these were meant to accent the cake, so we went with strawberry and lemon. Perfect fruity flavors to really bring in the season of spring/summer.
