For a touch of whimsy and charm, cakesicles adorned with fondant flowers add an element of fun to the dessert set. The fondant flowers atop the cake pops mimic the real wildflowers surrounding the venue, creating a seamless connection between nature and dessert. For a final count, this order took 144 handmade fondant flowers and boy did it take me a while to get those knocked out. With how these turned out in the end though, it was well worth it for the photos. Flavors for these were a red velvet with cream cheese chips and cookies & crème with cream cheese frosting. At request of the bride, cream cheese frosting was her favorite so we tried to work that in wherever it made sense in the set.
While the bride and groom had their cake to cut, the rest of the guests had their pick of cupcakes or cookies if they were craving more of the traditional wedding dessert. The cupcakes were all floral designs picked along with some new ones added to our portfolio. For flavors, we went with the classics of vanilla and chocolate as well as some cookies & crème. The cookies were similar with dark chocolate bourbon pecan and snickerdoodle. Just like the large variety of wildflowers, this wedding had everything to keep guests and their taste buds happy.
