50th Anniversary Dessert Set

What better way to celebrate love than with sweets?

This was our first time making an entire dessert table for an event and I am obsessed with all of it. Gold and white with some black accents kept us with the traditional 50th anniversary colors and we just added our modern twist.

We started with the custom red velvet drip cake, which also happened to be our first drip! Red velvet is my favorite cake, so my joy when others order it is beyond measure. I have taste-tested our recipe several times and can assure you that it is the best (lol). This 7” 4 layered red velvet had cream cheese filling, a smooth buttercream finish, and custom gold drip as well as some macarons for decoration. Hands down the smoothest finish I have gotten on a cake yet and I can’t wait for the next time I get to do a drip cake.

Along with the cake, our customer wanted six dozen custom cupcakes for the guests to enjoy. These were split between vanilla, chocolate, and red velvet because who doesn’t love options? This way, there is something for everyone regardless of what flavors you like.

Sticking with the gold and white, we decided to do several different designs and sprinkles. 100% honesty, Kyle is way better at this than I am and seems to have a knack for decorating cupcakes with sprinkles to make them look amazing. We did some rosettes with painted gold tips and I have not been able to stop staring at this photos ever since.

Rounding out a very solid dessert set is of course our macarons! Just like the cupcakes, we did six dozen with six different flavors. The best part, they are all gluten free! This customer comes to us specifically for our gluten-free treats, so we always make sure to keep our menu full of GF options. Macarons are naturally gluten free cookies and most fillings are as well! This set included cookies and cream, strawberry, raspberry, lemon, chocolate, and chocolate peanut butter.

Need special fillings or GF options? Message us and we are more than happy to assist! For more photos of this set, check below.

Until next time,

-Kat & Kyle
