FORE! Gender Reveal Desserts

Gender reveal desserts, but make them golf themed. Check ✔

Considering Kyle and I are both golfers (I’m a former college golfer), this set was one of my favorite of the year. It also helps that this particular set was for my brother and sister-in-law to reveal the gender of their first baby making it particularly special in my mind. One of the best things about being a baker that I have mentioned several times in past posts is getting to be part of special events in people’s lives including those of our own families.

This set, we were just asked to match the golf theme for the reveal and we ran with it. Our macarons are always popular at family functions, so we started there and stumbled across this adorable design on the internet. Using edible marker, I drew on all of the flags and ball flight path dashes while Kyle painstakingly put each golf ball on with a small dab of white chocolate to make it stick. Poor guy had to spend a lot of time with tweezers to finish all of them, but in the end it was worth it with how they turned out. Our flavors were simple for this one with chocolate espresso ganache and salted caramel.

For the cakesicles, we went with our traditional molds in green chocolate with golf ball fondant decorations and green mix sprinkles. A little drizzle to make everything stick and we were good to go. For flavors on the green ones, we went with crowd pleasing chocolate. For the white cakesicles, we went with one of our newer circle molds for the cakesicle and then coated those in white chocolate with a drizzle and white sprinkles to resemble a large golf ball to match the rest of the set. Flavor on this one was funfetti to cover all sides of the party-goer’s taste buds.

Baby N is a boy and we can’t wait to welcome a new nephew to our family in 2024!

Until next post!
