Valentine’s Day 2022
Love is in the air and it smells like fresh baked cookies!
Our Valentine’s box will always be special to us because it was our first variety box that we offered after officially starting our home bakery! We tend to lean towards color themes and this box is no exception being all of the pinks and reds. This means we get to utilize our awesome strawberry and raspberry jams, as well as some blood orange curd so we are all for it.
With new additions to our menu, we decided to offer some different options this year for the Valentine’s preorder. In addition to our macaron variety box with all four seasonal flavors, we also added a variety box that included our new fresh baked cookies! The perfect combo to share with your sweetheart, if you ask us.
Now the best part, let’s talk about our four seasonal flavors for the month of February. Our first pick was a classic flavor for this time of the year: Chocolate-Covered Strawberry. Our delicious chocolate ganache buttercream with our homemade strawberry jam in the center. It’s a timeless Valentine’s treat and it’s best in macaron form (but I might be biased). The next flavor for this month’s box was White Chocolate Raspberry. Not as decadent as our first flavor, but a refreshing and sweet treat nonetheless. This flavor pick is something that we love doing because dipped macarons with freeze-dried raspberries on top are gorgeous and delicious.
Our next flavor is new: Blood Orange. We take some blood oranges and make a fresh curd for the center of this macaron and then surround it with a vanilla and orange zest buttercream. It’s not too tart, but still gives a fresh bite to balance our sweet macarons. The last flavor will become a new permanent filling on our menu! Cookie Dough will be added after February and is an awesome buttercream infused with edible cookie dough bits that we make. Who doesn’t love eating cookie dough?
