Fall 2022 Menu Release

It’s finally here!

We are so excited to announce our fall 2022 seasonal menu and specials! This is one of our favorite times of the year, second only to the Christmas season. Kyle’s obsession with anything pumpkin spice gets a little out of hand starting around August. To be honest, our house is 90% pumpkins at this point and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

To add a little variety beyond macarons and cupcakes, we actually started to develop our specials at cocoa bombs. These chocolate shells of goodness are incredibly versatile and once the weather starts to change here in Kentucky, I have a sneaking suspicion that people will love this variety pack. Of course we wanted to do something with pumpkin spice cocoa, so we started with a simple pumpkin spice option which just adds those favorite fall spices to our normal cocoa mix. To take that up a notch, we added espresso powder to a white chocolate cocoa bomb to get our PSL cocoa bomb. Coffee lovers, this is for you! Lastly, we opted to hit another fall favorite with apple cider. This salted caramel cocoa bomb has apple cider mix giving that feeling of a hot caramel apple to warm you up. Our variety pack this season includes those three seasonals plus an original bomb!

Something about fall macarons just works and of course the endless design options with adorable round cookies never disappoints. Last year we made these Halloween themed macarons with our fall seasonals and I love this picture for showing off these fillings. The spiced apple filling for the caramel apple macaron is one of my personal favorites. While we were thinking of flavors, we realized that we were more excited to bring back all of our seasonals from last year. Why fix what isn’t broke, right?

Most of our seasonals for macarons this year are fan favorites with a few new additions. This is where we started to think about what theme we wanted this year and we landed on subtle fall spices that we feel are underutilized. Maple pecan is a new addition to our macaron menu this year which we make with real maple syrup in the filling. Another new addition was to add a PSL option to our normal pumpkin spice. Again, coffee lovers, we are doing this for you guys! Truthfully, we really wanted that flavor ourselves and figured our customers would love it as well.

The next new seasonals up on our menu are three new cupcake flavors!

Our new apple cider cupcake brings the warm spices without the pumpkin. Turning a favorite fall beverage into a cupcake was interesting, but this has to be one of the best tasting batters that we have. Light and fluffy with fresh chunks of apple folded in really bring home that flavor profile. Topped with caramel buttercream and you’ve got a creative spin on apple cider.

Now, while we do have a pumpkin cupcake (come on, you knew we couldn’t resist), our third cupcake flavor is definitely different from our previous options and is overall just an enjoyable cupcake. Using real maple syrup, we made a lightly spiced cupcake and then folded in pecan pieces. Topped with cinnamon cream cheese frosting and sprinkled with more pecan pieces completes this tasty, yet simple dessert option.

We wanted to carry our flavor theme throughout our main menu options and decided to work on adding some seasonal cookies as well. We came up with two new flavors that are definitely tasty and hit all of those fall favorite notes. The first seasonal cookie is pumpkin snickerdoodle. With real pumpkin added to the dough, this cookie is rolled in cinnamon sugar before being baked to peak softness. The addition of some of the warmer fall spices really comes through and it makes the house smell amazing!

If you are looking for something a little less spicy, we also added a simple maple thumbprint cookie to our menu this year. This pillow-y maple vanilla dough is baked with the signature indent in the center keeping the sides nice and light. Once they cool, we fill them with a maple vanilla glaze again made with real maple syrup. It gives almost a nostalgic taste for the season that everyone in the family can enjoy.

We are about to hit wedding season full force, so be on the lookout for upcoming posts with gorgeous dessert sets. Until next time!
