To give you a rough idea of where we started with this, I bought some simple galvanized steel decorative pots and some foam balls/boards that fit inside of them. Once I had my foam pieces leveled off and covered at the bottom with green tissue paper, I began mapping out where our cupcakes would be sticking. The first one, I left more space between the cupcakes to add additional paper and fill up the “pot” more. So, this is what it looked like prior to piping out our flowers.
The cupcakes are secured in with toothpicks and I found that four per cupcake was needed to support the weight of our large buttercream flowers without anything falling off. From here, I started piping various flower designs with our new tips (124k, 125k, and 126k for those bakers interested). Once everything was set up in the fridge, I began the assembly of our final pots. I secured the decorated cupcakes onto their toothpicks and then began filling in the gaps with tissue paper and fake flowers. For the second setup, I decided to tuck the cupcakes closer together to leave minimal space between them and overall I found this version of bouquet to look much nicer as an end result. They really look like an actual bouquet even if a little more of the pot and foam ball is showing.
