Spring Cakes
We’ve been mixing it up lately from our usual macaron business. Both of us greatly enjoy baking and decorating cakes. After a few requests for such baked goods came in, we had the pleasure of making several orders for neighbors, friends, and family. Spring has given us such wonderful inspiration that we couldn’t help but share some recent orders including these adorable floral cupcakes. Our from-scratch vanilla cupcakes got some floral love with vanilla buttercream flowers. Perfect for any spring time event!
Another benefit of spring: fruits coming back in season! The winter can be tough to get perfectly ripe and delicious fruit especially in Kentucky. Thankfully, we are getting closer to warmer weather meaning more beautiful cakes like these.
A birthday cake order led us to making this tasty strawberry cake with strawberry buttercream. Take a peak at the photo slides below for a step-by-step of how we built this one. Layers of made-from-scratch strawberry cake with homemade strawberry jam and fresh strawberries gave us a perfect bite of springtime berry goodness.
